DALLAS – Following standout performances over the weekend, Jax State catcher Grayson Ashe and left-hander Beau Bryans earned CUSA weekly honors.
 
CUSA Hitter of the Week – Grayson Ashe, Jax State – R-Jr. – C – Montgomery, Ala.
Ashe claims Hitter of the Week recognition after guiding the Gamecocks (13-3) to a 3-1 week with a series sweep over Valparaiso. The redshirt junior backstop hit .500 (7-14) and drove in nine RBI in four games, including a 3-3 day with six RBI in the series clinching 17-3 win on Saturday. Three of his career-high six RBI in that game was from a three-run homer that put Jax State ahead 7-1. Jax State currently sits atop the CUSA standings after four weeks of non-conference action
 
CUSA Pitcher of the Week – Beau Bryans, Jax State – Sr. – LHP – Madison, Miss.
Bryans earns CUSA Pitcher of the Week honors after a career-outing in Saturday’s 13-2 win for the Gamecocks. The senior southpaw hurled 6.0 strong innings and struck out a career-high 10 Valparaiso hitters to claim his second win of the young season. Bryans held the Beacons to just four hits and one run. All four hits he allowed were singles. His 10 strikeouts match the Jax State season-high when Eli Pillsbury did it the night before in the series opener.
