Dylan Teeter have been named Conference USA’s Golfers of the Week the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
Energy Transfer CUSA Women’s Golfer of the Week – Emma Bunch, NM State – Sr. – Lynge, Denmark
Bunch earned her fifth consecutive top-10 finish, tying for fourth after firing 9-under par 207 at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. She was one of just five players in the field with fewer than four bogeys on the week. The Denmark native ranked tied for second among the field in par-5 scoring with an average of 4.50. Her fourth place finish served as the 15th top-five finish of her career and 23rd top-10 finish. Bunch was the top scorer for an Aggie squad that finished sixth out of 20.
CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week – Dylan Teeter, UTEP – Sr. – Bixby, Okla.
For the second week in a row, Teeter has been named CUSA’s Golfer of the Week following a 7-under par 209 (66-75-68) third place finish at Mississippi State’s Mossy Oak Collegiate at Mossy Oak GC (par 72 | 7,212 yards). The senior tied the fourth-lowest first round in tournament history with a season-best 6-under 66 and the eighth-lowest round in tournament history. He stumbled in the second round but came up with a stellar third round to finish in third place among over 100 competitors, beating 14 ranked opponents. Teeter led the Miners with 12 birdies and recorded an eagle in the first round. It was his highest finish since early September.
