Luke Libbey have been named Conference USA’s first Golfers of the Week for the new school year.
CUSA Women’s Golfer of the Week – Grace Frei, WKU – Sr. – The Colony, Texas
Frei was WKU’s top finisher for the first tournament of the 2026-27 season, tying for 16th at the Boilermaker Classic, hosted by Purdue. She had an overall 5-over score for the tournament after carding a 76 in the third round. The senior drained 12 birdies over her three rounds. She led the Lady Toppers to tie for ninth place in the challenging 16-team field.
CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week - Luke Libbey, Liberty - Jr. - Lynchburg, Va.
Libbey carded a 3-under par 207 (74-65-68) to lead the Flames at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, finishing the tournament tied for 13th place. The tournament field included 13 teams who advance to the NCAA Regionals in 2026 and eight teams who finished last year ranked inside the top 50. This marked Libbey’s first top 20 finish of his career as a member of Liberty’s starting lineup. The junior carded a new career 18-hole low with a 5-under par 65 during Monday afternoon’s second round and finished the tournament with a new career 54-hole low at 207.
