MGOLF: CUSA 2025-26 All-Academic Team Announced

DALLAS – Conference USA announced its 2025-26 Men’s Golf All-Academic Team Thursday afternoon, recognizing five student-athletes for their academic and athletic accomplishments this season. Student-athletes from Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Liberty and Middle Tennessee have been honored.
 
To be considered for the All-Academic Team, nominees must consist of junior or senior standing academically, have competed in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participated in 50-percent of his team’s competitive rounds and maintained a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average.
 
Making up the CUSA Men’s Golf Academic Team includes Jax State’s Ryley Heath. The graduate student has maintained a 4.0 GPA while pursuing his MBA. Heath is a two-time CUSA Honor Roll recipient as well as a member of the Dean’s List and President’s List. He has five top-15 finishes in eight tournaments this season, leads the team with 294 recorded birdies and has picked up a CUSA Men’s Golfer of the Week honor.
 
Representing Kennesaw State, Shaun Cook has received All-Academic honors with a 3.58 GPA as a business finance major. Academically, Cook has received Cobalt Golf All-Academic Scholar and CSC Academic All-District honors. He has also earned Top Flight Owl recognition, was a two-time CUSA Honor Roll and Dean’s List recipient and has received Presidential Scholar recognition. This season, Cook has been the Owls’ top finisher in four of eight tournaments where he has led the team with a 70.92 scoring average with 15 of his 24 rounds being played at par or better. The senior also picked up his second career win at the Scrappy at Cobblestone, recording five-under par 211 (71-66-74).
 
Earning his second consecutive All-Academic Team recognition is Liberty’s Ike Joy. Joy, a graduate student earning his MBA in Public Relations, has maintained a 3.73 GPA, is a two-time member of the CUSA Commissioner’s Honor Roll, CUSA Commissioner’s Academic Medal winner and GCAA/Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honoree. The 2025 NCAA Regional qualifier holds a career stroke average of 72.55. This season, he ranks third on the team with a stroke average of 72.52 and he recorded two rounds in the 60s with a career-low round of 66.
Middle Tennessee added two student-athletes to the All-Academic squad, including Connor Henry and Carter Maneth. Henry, a redshirt-sophomore, holds a 4.0 GPA while studying integrated studies. He has been named to the Dean’s List, CUSA Honor Roll, was a CUSA Commissioner’s Academic Medal winner and a Chi Alpha Sigma Honorary. He holds a 71.26 scoring average and has recorded five top-25 finishes on the season with 14 rounds of par or better.
 
Maneth holds a 3.714 GPA pursuing his MA in Accounting. The redshirt-senior is a Dean’s List and CUSA Honor Roll honoree. This season, he was a two-time CUSA Golfer of the Week winner, recorded four top-25 finishes, and shot 12 rounds of par or better and maintaining a 71.70 scoring average. Maneth won the Sandestin Collegiate Classic, setting a new program record at 16-under par (66-66-65).
