DALLAS – Following standout performances over the weekend, Liberty’s Jordan Jaffe and Jax State’s Beau Bryans and Steven Cash earned CUSA weekly honors.
 
CUSA Hitter of the Week – Jordan Jaffe, Liberty – Sr. – INF – Moorpark, Calif.
Jaffe earns CUSA Hitter of the Week honors for the first time this season after an incredible week at the plate for the Flames (31-13, 15-6 CUSA). The senior third baseman hit .500 (10-20) in a 3-2 week with a remarkable 14 RBI. He recorded multiple hits in four of the five contests and five of his 10 hits went for extra bases. Jaffe put together a career performance on Sunday, going 3-3 with two doubles, two runs and six RBI.
 
CUSA Co-Pitcher of the Week – Beau Bryans, Jax State – Sr. – LHP – Madison, Miss.
Bryans snags his second weekly honor of the year after hurling a gem in Saturday’s 4-0 win over NM State. The senior southpaw helped Jax State (36-9, 18-3) even the series as he matched his career-high of 10 strikeouts that he set earlier this season. Bryans improved to 5-0 on the year after his 6.1 innings of shutout baseball. Of his four hits allowed, only one went for extra bases. Bryans currently owns the sixth-lowest ERA in conference starts (3.24).
 
CUSA Co-Pitcher of the Week – Steven Cash, Jax State – Sr. – LHP – Centreville, Ala.
Cash joined his fellow teammate as Co-Pitcher of the week as he guided the Gamecocks to back-to-back shutout wins to clinch their sixth CUSA series of the year. The left-hander tossed all 7.0 innings in the run-rule win, allowing no runs on four hits and punching out five. He lowered his conference ERA to 2.20 and is fourth during league play with 49 strikeouts. Jax State ranks third nationally in shutout wins with six, sitting just behind Florida and Oregon who have seven.
