C-USA Announces Women's Soccer All-Decade Team

Conference USA is celebrating its 10th anniversary during the 2004-05 season. In conjunction, the league is naming a Team of the Decade for each of the conference?s 19 sports. Women?s Soccer is the third sport to have its All-Decade team released and a pair of former league standouts, Kate Gordon of Marquette and Meghann Burke of Saint Louis, have been named as its co-Players of the Decade. The Women?s Soccer Coach of the Decade award went to Marquette?s Markus Roeders. Voting on the All-Decade awards was done by each of the league?s current Women?s Soccer coaches.

Three-time regular season Conference USA champion Marquette placed a league-high three members on the All-Decade team. Two-time champion Charlotte earned two spots on the 10-person team, with Cincinnati, DePaul, Saint Louis, UAB and USF each placing one athlete on the squad.
