WSOC: Bears Knock Off Blue Raiders 2-1, Advance to First Title Match

LYNCHBURG, Va. – No. 8 Missouri State punches their ticket to the title match of the 2025 CUSA Women’s Soccer Championship after defeating No. 4 MTSU 2-1 on Tuesday night at Osborne Stadium.
 
The Bears (7-8-4, 2-3-3 CUSA) became the second team in CUSA Championship history to advance to the title match as an 8-seed. It marks MSU’s first trip to a championship as a member of CUSA.
 
Mo State freshman Ellie Neath has shown out on the big stage in their first two matches, as she has notched a goal in each of the victories. In the 33rd minute the freshman drained the game-winning goal from just outside of the box. Teammate Lillie Rasmussen had the first goal of the match, putting the Bears on the board in the fifth minute.
 
The Bears will face off with the Flames for the title on Friday, Nov. 7, at Noon ET on ESPN+ at Osborne Stadium.
