LYNCHBURG, Va. – No. 4 MTSU defeated No. 5 FIU 1-0 in overtime of the quarterfinal nightcap from Osborne Stadium on the campus of Liberty University.

In a physical battle from start to finish, the Blue Raiders managed to net the game-winning goal in the first overtime period.
 
MTSU junior Hannah Murphy was the hero as she took a pass from Emma Pettersen to score the game-winner. Blue Raider keeper Ella Sellers was phenomenal in the victory as she notched six saves in the shutout effort.
 
The Blue Raiders will take on No. 8 Missouri State on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. ET at Osborne Stadium.
