Austin, Texas - University of Houston senior distance runner Calum Neff won the men's 1500 meters on the opening day of the 79th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays Wednesday night at the Mike A. Myers Stadium with a time of three minutes, 54.55 seconds. Sophomore Paul Goodwin also had a time of four minutes, 14.12 seconds to finish in 15th place.
In the women's 1500-meter race, Houston freshman Kelcee Keenan finished in eighth place with a time of four minutes, 47.76 seconds, and sophomore Oumama Hallal had a 16th-place finish with a time of five minutes, 16.18 seconds.
Conference USA Indoor pentathlon champion Rachel Easley scored 3,087 points in the first four events of the women's heptathlon and stands in 15th place.
In the men's decathlon, Jarrett Flax is in seventh place through five events with 3,679 points, and Nicholas Garza scored 3,476 points and stands in 17th place entering the final five events on Thursday.
