OTF: April 14 Athletes of the Week

DALLAS – Liberty picked up four Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors and Middle Tennessee earned two following week four of competition. 
 
Men's Track Athlete of the Week – Mustapha Bokpin, MTSU – So. – Accra, Grater Accra, Ghana
At the Tennessee Invitational, Mustapha Bokpin won the men's 200 meters with a personal best time of 20.59 seconds. His performance ranks him 22nd in the NCAA and first in CUSA.  The sophomore was also part of MTSU’s third place 4x100 meter relay team. This is his second consecutive Athlete of the Week honor.
 
Women's Track Athlete of the Week – Zenade October, MTSU – So. – Strand, Western Cape, South Africa
Zenade October took first place in the women's 800 meters at the Tennessee Invitational with a time of 2:08.65. That effort ranks her No. 5 in CUSA. She was also part of the 4x400 meter relay team that finished fourth.
 
Men's Field Athlete of the Week – Gabriel Willis, Liberty – R-Sr. – Carrollton, Texas
Gabriel Willis was the Group B decathlon runner-up at the Bryan Clay Multis with a personal best score of 7,341. That was the highest score by a CUSA decathlete since 2023. He ranks No. 19 nationally this season, No. 1 in CUSA by more than 250 points and No. 10 in program history. His 6-8.25 (2.04m) high jump clearance ranks No. 3 in CUSA this season, while his 23-4.5 (7.12m) long jump is tied for No. 7 in CUSA. 
 
Women's Field Athlete of the Week – Patasha Bryan, Liberty – R-Sr. – Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.
Patasha Bryan finished eighth in Group A of the Bryan Clay Multis heptathlon with a score of 5,567 points, breaking Liberty's program record that had stood since 2005. That mark currently ranks No. 17 nationally and No. 1 in CUSA by 500 points. She posted the highest heptathlon score by a CUSA athlete since 2017. Along the way, she high jumped a personal-best 5-7.25 (1.71m), which ranks No. 5 in CUSA this season. She also closed things out with a personal-best 2:14.05 800, the fastest time by a heptathlete in Liberty history.
 
Men's Freshman of the Week – Jake Nicholson, Liberty – R-Fr. – Lubbock, Texas
Jake Nicholson placed fifth in Group C at the Bryan Clay Multis with 7,082 points in his decathlon debut. That mark ranks No. 37 nationally (fourth among freshmen) and No. 2 in CUSA this season. He became the first Liberty freshman to score 7,000 points since 2005.
 
Women's Freshman of the Week – Adelle Schlotterback, Liberty – Fr. – Fort Wayne, Ind.
Adelle Schlotterback won the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic women's 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.89, cutting two seconds off her previous personal best. She ranks No. 5 in CUSA this season, second among freshmen.
