DALLAS – No. 9-ranked Kentucky fell at No. 8 Clemson 2-1 in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Wildcats lone goal was scored by
Lucca Rodrigues in the 85th minute of play with an assist from
Nick Gutmann to tie the game 1-1. Clemson broke the tie and advanced to the quarterfinals with a goal in the 89th minute.
Kentucky (15-2-4) had three shots on goal and 11 shots overall compared to Clemson’s four shots on goal and five overall. C-USA Goalkeeper of the Year and Golden Glove winner
