DALLAS – Conference USA placed 16 student-athletes to the United Soccer Coaches Southeast All-Region Teams, with Charlotte, FIU, Florida Atlantic, University of Kentucky and Marshall all being represented on each of the three teams.
 
FIU's Steven Afrifa adds the all-region honors to his resume as he also earned a spot on the All-C-USA First Team following the season. Afrifa led the Panthers in goals scored (8), points (19) and game-winning goals (4). He started 18 games while leading FIU’s attack game with a total of 1,094 minutes played.
 
Kentucky had a strong showing with three players on the first team after a 15-2-4 overall record, winning its second-Conference USA Championship and making its third appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16 in the last four years. The Wildcats list included their goalkeeper Jan Hoffelner, who continues to add to his list of accolades for the season. The graduate transfer earned C-USA Goalkeeper of the Year, the conference Golden Glove Award and all-tournament team honors. Also on the list was Luis Grassow, an all-conference defender, who had nine points and 1,681 minutes for Kentucky. Rounding out the Wildcats’ presence on the all-region list is Marcel Meizner who also earned first-team all-conference honors, played 19 games for 1,534 minutes.
 
Marshall’s Pedro Dolabella, Nathan Dossantos, and Vitor Dias all made the first-team list. Conference USA Player of the Year Dolabella adds all-region to his season of recognition which also included being named the league's Offensive MVP. Dossantos earned All-C-USA honors including being named the league's Defensive MVP while Dias was also an all-conference selected and was the Co-Midfielder of the Year.

Afrifa, Dias and Dolabella are also the only members of the conference to be invited to the MLS College Showcase to take place December 10-12 in Cary, North Carolina as a part of the 2021 NCAA Men’s College Cup.
