LYNCHBURG, Va. – No. 3 Sam Houston punches their ticket to the semifinal round of the 2025 CUSA Women’s Soccer Championship after defeating No. 6 Delaware in penalty kicks on Sunday at Osborne Stadium.

After 110 minutes of action, the Bearkats prevailed in penalty kicks over the Blue Hens to advance to the semifinal round.
Sam Houston’s
Kelsey Villatoro netted the equalizing goal in the 78
th minute and helped send the game into overtime. After 20 minutes of scoreless action, the game would be settled in penalty kicks. Senior midfielder
Pam Murray drilled the game-winning goal to send the Bearkats onto the next round.
The Bearkats will face off with host and No. 2-seed Liberty on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. ET at Osborne Stadium.
