The Bears became the first 8-seed since Charlotte in 2022 to win their first-round match and advance to the semifinal round after their triumph over the Hilltoppers.

Mo State freshman Ellie Neath drained the game-winning goal in the first half and never looked back. Reilly Heman then added the second Bear goal early in the second half.

The Bears back line held strong all evening allowing four shots on goal. In the final minutes, Ella Becker came up with an incredible save on a penalty kick.

MSU will face off with the winner of MTSU and FIU on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. ET at Osborne Stadium.
