WSOC: Flames Roll Past Bulldogs, Advance to Semifinals

LYNCHBURG, Va. – No. 2 Liberty punches their ticket to the semifinal round of the 2025 CUSA Women’s Soccer Championship after cruising to victory over No. 7 LA Tech Sunday at Osborne Stadium.

The Flames claim the quarterfinal victory over the Bulldogs, 4-1, to advance to the semifinals. The CUSA Player of the Year Ivy Garner scored the equalizer and game-winning goal as Liberty exploded for four first half goals.
 
Liberty’s Halle Engle and Isabella Wedemeyer pitched in on the scoring as they each accounted for a goal to extend the lead and put the game on ice. Engle also tallied an assist on the second Garner goal.
 
The Flames will take on the winner of the Sam Houston and Delaware contest on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. ET at Osborne Stadium.
