Torey Alston and WKU’s
Armelo Boone earned Conference USA Men’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
CUSA Player of the Week – Torey Alston, MTSU – R-So. – F – Durham, N.C.
Alston exploded in the opening game of the Cayman Islands Classic against Murray State. The forward from Durham, N.C. tallied a career-high 26 points on 12-21 shooting, including three highlight reel dunks. In addition to his excellent offensive day, he brought in another career-high of 16 rebounds. In the Blue Raiders’ (4-1) loss at No. 7 Michigan, he scored five points with six rebounds, two steals, an assist and a block.
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Armelo Boone, WKU – Fr. – G – Lexington, Ky.
Boone earns his second consecutive weekly honor after helping guide the Hilltoppers to a 4-0 start. In WKU’s lone game on the week, the freshman guard posted 12 points, four steals, three rebounds and one assist. It marks the third straight game that Boone has scored in double figures. After three weeks of play, Boone is tied for first in CUSA with 12 steals.
