DALLAS – Delaware’s Justyn Fernandez and Christian Bliss earned Conference USA Men’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
 
CUSA Player of the Week – Justyn Fernandez, Delaware – Sr. – G – Richmond, Va.
Fernandez put on a clinic during Delaware’s 1-1 week as he averaged 22.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists. In the Blue Hens’ (3-7) victory over George Washington, the senior guard tallied a career-high 27 points with 20 coming in the first half. He also went 5-11 from beyond the arc, tying his career-best in three pointers made. In Saturday’s loss to CSUN, Fernandez piled on 17 more points for his sixth double-digit scoring game out of the seven he’s played in.
 
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Christian Bliss, Delaware – Fr. – G – Queens, N.Y.
Bliss was sensational over the week as the Blue Hens split a pair of contests against George Washington and CSUN. The freshman from Queens, N.Y., nearly notched a triple double in their upset road win over George Washington. Bliss scored 12 points with nine rebounds and eight assists. The rookie guard couldn’t miss on Saturday as he totaled a career-high 21 points on five made triples. He currently leads the nation in minutes played per game (38:44) and is 16^th in assists per game (6.6)
