MBB: December 1 Players of the Week

DALLAS – Kennesaw State’s Simeon Cottle and WKU’s Armelo Boone earned Conference USA Men’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
 
CUSA Player of the Week – Simeon Cottle, Kennesaw State – Sr. – G – College Park, Ga.
Cottle picks up his first weekly honor of the campaign after leading the Owls (5-2) to the GEICO Coconut Hoops tournament title. KSU collected overtime wins over Rice and FGCU as the senior guard averaged a tournament-high 24.3 points per game. In the opener against Rice, Cottle scored 25 points with four rebounds and four assists. He saved his best performance for the final game, as he set a new career-high with 33 points on 7-13 shooting and 5-8 from downtown in a 102-100 win at FGCU.
 
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Armelo Boone, WKU – Fr. – G – Lexington, Ky.
Boone claims his third consecutive CUSA Freshman of the Week honor after showcasing an outstanding week in the Battle 4 Atlantis. The Hilltoppers (5-2) went 1-2 in the three contests with close losses to No. 24 Vanderbilt and South Florida, while finishing the week with a 75-70 win over Wichita State. Boone averaged 17.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists while shooting 45.9 (17-37) percent from the field. In the win over the Shockers, the freshman guard piled on a career-high 22 points in his first start of the season.
