DALLAS – MTSU’s Karim Al-Amin and Kennesaw State’s Mikolaj Lis and Anthony Weingarten earned Conference USA Tennis Athlete of the Week honors on the men’s side. WKU’s Sofia Blanco and LA Tech’s Mio Kozaki and Nina Skoric received the women’s CUSA Tennis Athletes of the Week honors.  
   
CUSA Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week – Karim Al-Amin, MTSU – Jr. – Waltrop, Germany 
Al-Amin claimed his second weekly honor of the week after two standout performances against No. 28 South Florida and Eastern Illinois. After dropping the first set to USF’s No. 54 Hugo Car, the junior rallied to take the second and take the tiebreaker in the third set. In MTSU’s second match of the week, the Waltrop, Germany, native defeated EIU’s Pieke Bouman in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) to guide the Blue Raiders to a dominant 7-0 victory.
 
CUSA Men’s Doubles Team of the Week 
Mikolaj Lis, Kennesaw State – So. – Swidnica, Poland
Anthony Weingarten, Kennesaw State – Jr. – Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex
 
The duo of Lis and Weingarten were strong in their lone match with Alabama State over the week in a 5-2 victory. The pair competed on doubles court No. 1 and defeated Alabama State’s Alexandre Verlaguet and Matis Amier 6-4 to claim the doubles point. Lis and Weingarten improved to 4-2 in doubles in their first season as a member of CUSA.
 
CUSA Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week – Sofia Blanco, WKU – Sr. – Caracas, Venezuela
Blanco claimed her team-leading 14^th singles win of the year during WKU’s match at CUSA foe Liberty on Saturday. The senior defeated Liberty’s Daniella O’Neill (6-4, 7-5) at the No. 2 position, which marked the 54^th singles victory and 104^th total singles and doubles win, setting a WKU program record for career singles and doubles victories.
 
CUSA Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
Mio Kozaki, LA Tech, Jr., Aichi, Japan
Nina Skoric, LA Tech, So., Paris, France 
 
In LA Tech’s lone match of the week against Conference USA foe Kennesaw State, Kozaki and Skoric were down 1-4 on court No. 3 to KSU’s Terezia Baraniakova and Sofia Madrid. The Bulldog tandem reeled off five straight games to take the match 6-4 and secure the doubles point against the Owls. Kozaki and Skoric earned their fourth consecutive win and the 10^th overall this spring.
