TEN: 2026 Men’s and Women’s All-Academic Teams Announced

DALLAS – Conference USA tabbed 12 student-athletes to its 2026 CUSA Men’s and Women’s Tennis All-Academic Teams Friday afternoon. Six schools are represented with Delaware pacing the way with three student-athletes earn spots on the list. Jax State, Liberty, LA Tech and MTSU have two student-athletes, while NM State is highlighted as well.
 
On the men’s side, student-athletes all had over a 3.8 GPA and featured majors in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Biomedical Sciences, Psychology and Business Administration. Two of the six members earned all-academic honors for the second consecutive year.
 
Euan Mackenzie became the first Delaware men’s tennis athlete to be recognized on the all-academic team. The senior from Scotland has maintained a 3.802 GPA, while pursuing a degree in Economics.
 
Jax State’s Lucius Soller was one of two student-athletes to repeat as honorees this season. Soller holds a strong 3.88 GPA, while going after a degree in Accounting. The redshirt senior boasts an 11-4 overall doubles record in 2026.
 
Liberty senior Carl Roothman has been selected to the All-Academic team for the first time in his career as he holds a 3.87 GPA while majoring in Finance. Roothman primarily plays in the No. 2 singles position and has a 14-14 overall record at this point of the campaign. Teammate Guy Vorwerk earned a spot on the list as he boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA while studying Biomedical Studies. Vorwerk has been strong in doubles, owning a 7-2 record on court No. 3.
 
Rounding out the 2026 men’s team is MTSU’s Karim Al-Amin and Freddy Murray. Al-Amin is on the CUSA All-Academic team for the second straight year and holds a 3.962 GPA while pursuing a degree in Psychology. Murray currently has a 3.813 GPA, while studying Business Administration in his senior year.
 
Among the women’s programs, there was one All-Academic team returner in Jax States Irene Artigas Taberner. The senior has maintained a 3.92 GPA, while studying management.
 
Delaware and LA Tech each placed two on the All-Academic squad. For the Blue Hens, seniors Amelia Gorman and Navya Vadlamudi earned the honors. Gorman holds a 3.955 GPA as a Psychology major and Vadlamudi maintains a 3.952 GPA, while pursuing a degree in epidemiology.
 
The Bulldogs’ Zoie Epps is a junior studying exercise and health promotion. She is joined by teammate Maria Tsironi, a sophomore pursuing business administration. They hold a 3.571 and 3.845 GPAs, respectively.
 
Rounding out the team is NM State’s Montana Parkinson-Lubold. The sophomore boasts a 3.971 GPA as a biochemistry major.
 
The 2026 Conference USA Men’s and Women’s Championships will be held April 15-19 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
