DALLAS – In the final week of the outdoor track and field regular season, Liberty collected four Conference USA weekly accolades, along with one Kennesaw State honoree.
Men's Track Athlete of the Week – Cameron Guadiano, Kennesaw State – Jr. – Atlanta Ga.
Guadiano won the 110-meter hurdles in a personal best time of 13.63 seconds (3.1) at the Emory Qualifier. That time ranks second in CUSA and is tied for 31st in the NCAA this season.
Women's Track Athlete & Freshman of the Week – Alivia Rivera-Norman, Liberty – Fr. Odessa, Texas
Rivera-Norman was the Liberty Twilight Qualifier women's 100-meter hurdles champion with a Liberty freshman-record and CUSA-leading time of 13.33 in the final. She now ranks No. 2 in program history and is tied for 39th in the NCAA East Region this season.
Men's Field Athlete of the Week – Markus White, Liberty – Jr. – Lynchburg, Va.
White reached 7.68 meters (25-2.5) to win the Liberty Twilight Qualifier men's long jump title by nine inches. It marked his fourth consecutive long jump victory dating back to the indoor season.
Women's Field Athlete of the Week – Sophie Gonzalez, Liberty – R-So. – Guatemala City, Guatemala
For her third Field Athlete of the Week honor this year, Gonzalez placed second overall (first among attached entrants) in the Liberty Twilight Qualifier women's hammer competition with a mark of 60.89 meters (199-9). She has now thrown over 60 meters in all five hammer competitions this season.
Men's Freshman of the Week – Tahj Brown, Liberty – Fr. – Nassau, Bahamas
Brown was the Liberty Twilight Qualifier men's 110-meter hurdles champion with a time of 13.78, lowering his own Liberty freshman record. With that time, he ranks No. 4 in CUSA this season (first among freshmen) and is tied for 49th in the NCAA.
