DALLAS - Conference USA tabbed 11 student-athletes to its 2026 CUSA Baseball All-Academic Team Friday afternoon. Nine schools are represented, led by FIU and Jax State with two selections each.
Jax State’s Steven Cash, MTSU’s Tyler Minnick and NM State’s Jonatan Clough earned their second consecutive All-Academic team honor. Cash boasts a 3.95 GPA as a senior pursuing a degree in accounting. Minnick owns an incredible 4.00 GPA while studying Business Administration in Murfreesboro. Clough is a two-time member of the squad as he has maintained a nearly perfect 3.96 GPA in sociology.
Along with Minnick, five more student-athletes produced a perfect 4.00 GPA. FIU’s Preston Prince, Jax State’s Jaxon Pate, Kennesaw State’s Cooper McMullen, Liberty’s Bradley Zayac and Missouri State’s Bryce Cermenelli all continue to excel in the classroom.
DBU’s Ryan Martin, FIU’s Cooper Rasmussen and LA Tech’s Matt Houston garnered their first all-academic recognition, while also playing pivotal roles in their team’s success in 2026.
The 2026 CUSA Baseball Championship will be held May 20-24 in Kennesaw, Ga. Championship action begins with a three-game slate starting at 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday.
