KENNESAW, Ga. – No. 3 Missouri State defeated No. 4 DBU 9-8 on day three of the 2026 CUSA Baseball Championship Friday evening from Mickey Dunn Stadium at Henssler Financial Field on the campus of Kennesaw State. The Bears will take on No. 2 Liberty on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET in the semifinal round.
Missouri State and DBU combined for nine home runs setting a new CUSA Tournament single-game record, besting the previous record of seven set by Rice and Memphis in 2007 and LA Tech and Charlotte in 2023. In addition, the Bears five bombs tied for the fourth most in a single game in tournament history.
The Bears offense came alive in the eighth inning as Mo State trailed 8-3.
Taeg Gollert launched a solo home run center field, while
Max Knight smashed a two-run homer and
Bowen Tabola scored on a wild pitch to tie the game. In the ninth inning with the bases loaded,
Caden Bogenpohl saved the day with a walk-off two RBI single through the right side.
