IRVING, Texas - Conference USA announced its men's soccer all-conference and postseason award winners today, and Marshall was well represented. The Herd placed three student-athletes on the various all-conference teams, while head coach Bob Gray earned Conference USA Coach of the Year honors.

Karim Boukhemis (Jr., Huntington, W.Va./Huntington) earned a second-team all-conference distinction at midfield, while Jeff Lenix (So., Westerville, Ohio/Westerville North) notched second-team honors at defense. The all-conference honors are the first for both.

Osric Flores (Everett, Wash./Cascade) earned a nod on the all-freshman team after his stellar season in which he ranked third on the team in goals (4) and points (9).

The coach of the year honor is the second at Marshall for Gray. He also earned 2000 Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year laurels.

SMU's Duke Hashimoto took home Offensive Player of the Year honors, while South Carolina's Greg Reece and Mike Gustavson notched Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year laurels, respectively.

Marshall begins play in the Conference USA tournament Wednesday in Dallas. The fifth-seeded Herd takes on fourth-seeded Florida International at 6 p.m. at SMU's Westcott Field.
