All-C-USA Second-Team defender and league-leader in assist, Charlie Reymann added to his total after sending in a corner kick to Landon Souder who headed in the first score. The ball barely crossed the goal line to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute. Four minutes later, New Mexico responded when First-Team honoree Niko Hansen found Sam Gleadle at the top of the box that ended with a rip from just inside the box hitting the left goal post and landing behind the net.

Kentucky took the lead once more in the 81st minute, when Connor Probert collected a rebound and sent a shot pass New Mexico’s charging goalkeeper into the back of the net. The Lobos again didn’t waste much time answering when Sam Gleadle sent a free-kick from three yards outside the left box to Nicholas Rochowski who used a header to tie the match in the 84th minute.

New Mexico will face top-seed Charlotte in the semifinals of the C-USA Men’s Soccer Championship on Friday at 4:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on CUSA TV. C-USA Player of the Year Brandt Bronico’s two-goal performance gave the 49ers a 2-1 win back on Oct. 8.
