HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Old Dominion holds off No. 2 seed South Carolina’s late push to earn a 2-1 upset victory and a trip to the semifinals of the Conference USA Men’s Soccer Championship.

In the 18th minute, freshman Jimmy Filerman sent a cross into the box that connected with freshman
Kaio DaSilva's foot as he knocked it into the goal for a 1-0 lead.
Niko Klosterhalfen an All-C-USA Third-Team selectee, collected a rebound off of a save and sent it into the goal to double the Monarchs' lead in the 32nd minute.
South Carolina was on the attack for the final 10 minutes of the match and finally got on the scoreboard in the 90th minute via a
Bjorn Gudjonsson goal.
Old Dominion fended off the Gamecocks in the final seconds of the match to claim the victory.
The Monarchs will face the winner of FIU-UAB in the semifinals of the C-USA Men’s Soccer Championship on Friday at 7 p.m. ET. The match will be available on CUSA TV.
