CHARLOTTE, N.C. – No. 2 seed Old Dominion toppled No. 7 seed New Mexico by a score of 4-0. Max Wilschrey and Niko Klosterhalfen led the Monarchs with three points apiece.

The game went into halftime scoreless. Wilschrey scored in the 54^th minute off an assist from Klosterhalfen to kick off Old Dominion’s four unanswered goals. Klosterhalfen followed it up a minute later to put the Monarchs up 2-0. Hans Kroschwitz and Sebastien Hauret netted in a goal apiece to secure the Monarchs’ trip to the semifinals. Though the Lobos fell short, goalkeeper Ford Parker made 10 saves.
 
The Monarchs will play the winner of No. 3 Charlotte and No. 6 UAB in the second semifinal game of the 2018 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Men’s Soccer Championship on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. ET. That match and the rest of the championship will be streamed on ESPN+.
