C-USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week – Philip Makinde, UAB, Sr., Ontario, Canada
Makinde scored the game-tying goals in both of UAB’s 1-1 draws against Marshall and Memphis. The senior is the first player to have multiple goals this season for the Blazers. His four-point performance helped UAB to their first unbeaten week of 2018 and moved him into the top spot on the team in goals and points.

C-USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week – Andrew Booth, FIU, R-Jr., Tamarac, Florida
Booth recorded the best match of his collegiate career in FIU’s 5-3 road win against North Florida. The redshirt junior had a hand in each goal in the first half, dishing out three assists and netting his first career goal in the 14th minute. His five points were a career best and the most recorded by a Panther since October 2017.

C-USA Defensive Player of the Week – Aimé Mabika, Kentucky, R-So., Lexington, Kentucky
Mabika led a defensive charge that shutout (RV) Charlotte. The Wildcats held the 49ers, who previously averaged 13 shots per game, to just five and one on goal. His size proved to be an asset in winning headers at both ends of the field, which was key in shutting out Charlotte’s direct attack. The redshirt sophomore also converted a penalty kick earlier in the week in a road win against Lipscomb.
