NORFOLK, Va. – Regular-season champion and No. 1 seed Marshall will play in the finals of the 2019 Conference USA Men’s Soccer Championship after a 1-0 victory over No. 4 seed Kentucky. The trip will be the Thundering’s Herd first since 2015.

th of the season, tying a program record set in 1982 and last achieved in 1993. The goal proved to be the game winner to propel Marshall to the finals.
The Thundering Herd move on to face the winner between No. 2 seed Charlotte and No. 3 seed FIU at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 17 for an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Marshall played Charlotte to a 0-0 draw and defeated FIU 2-1 in the regular season.
